“Rowboat on the Beach (Tash)” by Lorenzo Triburgo is part of “Transportraits,” a series of unlikely heroic portraits of transgender men against a created environment. It is on exhibit through March 10 at the Fairbanks Gallery at Oregon State University.

The Oregon State University Photography Faculty Exhibition featuring the work of Julia Bradshaw, Kerry Skarbakka and Lorenzo Triburgo is on exhibit through March 10 at the Fairbanks Gallery at Oregon State University, 220 SW 26th St., Corvallis.

Bradshaw's "Sketch-book" is a series of silver-gelatin photographic images. It is part of a larger series about the veracity of the photographic image at a time when both photography and books have become digital.

“Last Ditch Effort” by Kerry Skarbakka. is part of the OSU Photography Faculty Exhibition at the Fairbanks Gallery at Oregon State University.

Skarbakka used climbing gear and other rigging to photograph his body dangling from dangerous precipices or tumbling down stairs. The ambiguity of his body's position in space allows viewers to resolve the photographs' meanings.

Triburgo's "Transportraits" is a series of unlikely heroic portraits of transgender men against a created environment. The series examines representations of American masculinity and identity. Influenced by 19th century artists, including John Singer Sargent and Alfred Jacob Miller, Triburgo references classic and contemporary portraiture.
