Man, 82, sentenced for sexual abuse of girl under 12

An 82-year-old man was sentenced to seven years and six months for sexually abusing a minor last week.

Evan Lichty, of Beaverton, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. According to court documents, the victim was a girl under the age of 12 in Marion County, and the abuse took place during the summer of 2013.

In March, a grand jury indicted Lichty on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree sodomy. The latter charge was later changed to another count of sexual abuse.

Lichty was also sentenced to three years and nine months of post-prison supervision.
