People must stay informed as part of their civic duty

A vacuous accusation of stupidity arrogantly laid on the American people by a federal bureaucrat gone feral incidentally exposed the shameful truth of a self-imposed ignorance in the electorate which, accommodated, would silence arrogant academics and make elections, government and our nation the envy of history.

With no thanks to the media, we plead as co-conspirators in ignorance with our failed media; a media expected to inspire and inform us.

We are reminded by the media and their arrogant friends in academia that, “If men were angels, we would need no government!” A half-truth in need of a huge however: There are no angels in government. The few who arrive at the center of gravity with angelic tendencies are soon dissociated from those failings.

Yes! It’s been stupid of us in the hustings to obstinately remain uninformed in our citizenship duties. And for any citizen who hasn’t noticed the American Miracle being suctioned off to D.C. and the White House, you should have stayed in Siberia.

Citizenship in a republic is a lifelong, heavy piece of work. But only if you care.
