Letter: Goss brings experience in business, education

SAL

In recent days, several letters have claimed Kathy Goss lacks substance as a candidate for state representative.

Those who make such claims are clearly not aware of Kathy’s record of experience in education and the private sector.

Kathy served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in Marion County, school superintendent and formerly as a president of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. She owns a small business with her husband and was once general manager of Mo’s Restaurants.

She has a wealth of experience in the public and private sectors that will serve House District 20 and Oregon well as a member of the Legislature.

I was disappointed to learn that the Paul Evans campaign paid for a poll that included a question insinuating that Kathy condoned the use of methamphetamine by young women to increase their sexual energy. What a shameful campaign tactic. I can’t think of anything more lacking in substance than being willing to smear an opponent to get ahead in the polls.

I will be voting for Kathy Goss this election and I invite my fellow residents of House District 20 to do the same.
