EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Starting this summer adults in Oregon can grow up to four marijuana plants in their home.

But they won't receive any growing advice from the Oregon State University Extension Service master gardeners.

The Register-Guard reports the university sent a reminder to the community volunteers this week reminding them to remain mum on marijuana.

Although state voters legalized marijuana, the drug is still illegal under federal law and the university doesn't want to jeopardize federal funding.
