A Salem man has been sentenced to 220 months in prison for 15 counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse.

Kyle David Boyd, 34, pleaded guilty last October to unlawfully and knowingly making “a duplicate visual recording of sexually explicit conduct involving a child while knowing the duplication involved child abuse” between 2011 and 2015, according to court documents.

Boyd, who was a longtime employee at Gallagher Fitness and ran in several local races, was arrested and indicted by a grand jury early last year.

Boyd also was ordered to register as a sex offender.
